Regular eye checks should provide the basis for maintaining proper eye health, as some of the serious eye conditions do not have any visible early warning symptoms. However, whilst prevention is the best defence, problems or injuries can occur suddenly and unexpectedly. The ability to recognise signs and symptoms and also knowing what to do could be crucial to preserving sight. This section is intended to provide general information on the major eye conditions which you may come in to Moorfields to have treated. However, we cannot cover all eye conditions and diseases in this section, and we cannot answer any enquiries about individual or specific cases as eye conditions are extremely complex. Any patient who is worried or unsure about his or her individual circumstances should seek specialist advice relating to his or her individual circumstances.
