The AMS Corporate Eye care scheme is completely straightforward.  

• Simply provide your employees with a signed authorization form, which details the benefits the employee is entitled to.
• The employee then makes an appointment for an eye examination at their nearest store.
• The employee presents the authorization form to the Optometrist who will complete an eye examination report.
• A copy of the report is provided to the employee to return to the employer for your records. We will then invoice your company for the eye examination and any spectacle contribution claimed.
• Your employers can take advantage of the exclusive discounts at any time by simply showing a valid form of company ID 

Health & Safety

The Health and Safety Regulations stipulate that employers have the duty to ensure the provision of an appropriate eye examination at regular intervals for all employees using display screen equipment. If spectacles are required, employers are obliged to contribute toward these costs.

In addition, employers are also obliged to supply employees with adequate information about all aspects of Health and Safety relating to their workstation.

Who is entitled to a free NHS sight test?

• Under 16's
• Under 19's in full-time education
• Over 60's
• Anyone on low income support, income-based job seekers allowance, working Families tax credit or disabled persons tax credit
• People who require certain complex lenses
• Anyone with glaucoma or diabetes
• Over 40's brother, sister or child of someone with glaucoma
